The picture to the right shows the Chain Buddy in the collapsed position just after the car was moved forward one and a half feet positioning the chains in just the right spot for easy installation.

The key to the use of the Chain Buddy is a few very important installation practice sessions in the garage before you have to use them in the snow. The instructions come with a magnet attached to the back allowing you to attach the instructions onto the vehicle fender above the snow and at eye level.
